I Heart Rolfing
Welcomes You

Where Body Work Meets Inner Work

About Our Unique Service

I Heart Rolfing specifically supports clients wishing to work through physical and emotional trauma simultaneously.

We integrate weekly Zoom calls into our healing process to heal complex relationship issues, PTSD, childhood trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.

Our program is special and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many people and sets the foundation for a deep "awakening" to self-love.

Our clients discover how to integrate "inner work," which includes shadow integration, mirror work, trauma healing, and inner child healing, with deep subconscious reprogramming and physical healing to experience profound and lasting change.

If you'd like to learn more, schedule a free call with me to see if the program meets your current desires and needs for personal growth.

About Me.

I've been Rolfing for 7 years and have worked with over 500 patients in my time as a bodyworker, but my first passion and authentic life path has always been related to psychology, spirituality, healing, and relationships.

Since December of 2022 I've coached 60 adults through healing their childhood and relationship trauma. I am the Lead Support Coach for one of the largest trauma healing and coaching programs in the world and now offer my work 1-on-1 and in small groups in Austin.

My work as a healer focuses on three core pillars:

1. Centering and focusing your nervous system: Helping you find peace in a world that constantly pressures us into fight/flight/freeze/fawn coping mechanisms. Learn to "soften" into your center and live life with a different level of clarity.

2. Healing the inner child and integrating the shadow: The inner child is the part of our psyche that is responsible for relating/bonding/attachment-formation. As children, adolescents, and teenagers, this sensitive part of our inner world begins accumulating incomplete and often wildly inaccurate (and wounded) ideas about what connection to others looks and feels like. These experiences eventually become patterns and rigid characteristics of the ego, and lead to chronic codependence, poor boundaries, avoidant/anxious tendencies, people-pleasing and a fear of authenticity. My work dismantles this conditioning and replaces dysfunctional subconscious patterns with self-loving, and functional patterns of relating to others.

3. Aligning the physical and energetic body: The Rolfing component of our work involves two interrelated pieces, which is unique to my approach to bodywork. Not only do I help release patterns of tension in the body, but I guide my clients to learn how to use their mind, attention, and focus to properly align themselves with their "true center," which is a channel running through the base of the spine through the top of the head.

How We Work

Each week we schedule one Zoom call and one Rolfing appointment. During Zoom calls I will guide you through healing different aspects of your subconscious mind; and during Rolfing sessions we focus on your body, including any areas you are in pain. You'll also receive weekly homework and journaling prompts to share throughout the week.

Getting Started On Your Journey

Step 1: Zoom Consultation

Let's make sure you're a great fit for our work! In our Zoom call I'll answer any questions you have and assess the best course of action for you. We do not work with clients who strictly want to manage physical pain. We work with the heart, mind, soul, and deep wounds of the human spirit.

Step 2: Commitment and Contract

If you're committed to achieving deep personal transformation for your body, mind, and relationships, and committed to self-exploration, we'll create a commitment contract that details our relationship agreements and how we will be working on your growth together.

Step 3: Healing Journey

Each week we schedule one Rolfing session and one inner-work session. By integrating physical healing with emotional healing practices we create a new foundation for your health, relationships, and self-care.

The 8-Week Process

Each week of our process integrates an aspect of inner work with the holistic body realignment framework of Rolfing. Our clients learn how to embody their authentic center on a physical and emotional level.

The map of the heart/evolution journey / Understanding the structure of the psyche

Kian’s map of inner development:

(Inner Child) → Beginning of our relational dynamics (First reaching out for love, knowledge, support, emotional dynamism, preferences developing, reality of “humanness” and its gifts and struggles sets in)

(Wounded Inner Child) → wounds of the heart, attachment, desires, and true self; experiences of abandonment, neglect, internalized and held onto as emotional trauma

  • This patterning is either interrupted by loving reflections, or reinforced through ongoing conditioning.

(Ego) → Coping mechanisms develop with their accompanying emotions to regulate/balance/suppress/express the wounded feelings of the inner child

(Super-Ego) → This is different than the Freudian and Jungian superego. This is the ego that has gained control of itself and its healing journey. However, it is still a coping mechanism and uses the same strategies it used before, only in heightened and energetically intensified ways. This ego projects its healing process onto others, often latching onto particular people and projecting parts of its "wholeness" into others.

(Self-Healing) → Dissecting different aspects of the ego’s defenses in a structured, orderly, loving container.

Blending Rolfing With Trauma-Informed Transformational Coaching

Bodywork: Releasing Physical Tension, Unleashing Vital Energy

Our bodies are incredible vessels that carry the imprints of our life experiences. Through the skilled work of our Rolfing practice, we facilitate a process of releasing deep-seated physical tension, realigning the body's structure, and restoring balance. By working with the physical body, we create a solid foundation for holistic healing to unfold.

Inner Work: Nurturing the Soul, Unveiling Emotional Freedom

Beyond the physicality of our bodies lies a profound landscape of emotions, memories, and beliefs. Engaging in inner work, we venture into the realm of the heart and soul, where we confront our innermost wounds, heal the inner child, and release the burdens of past trauma and attachment wounds. Inner work offers the opportunity to develop a deep sense of self-compassion, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.

The Synergy of Integration: Embracing Wholeness

When we combine the power of bodywork and inner work, we unlock a synergy that amplifies their individual benefits, creating a truly holistic and transformative experience. This integration recognizes that emotional well-being and physical vitality are intricately interconnected. By addressing both aspects simultaneously, we open doors to profound healing, personal growth, and a sense of wholeness.

bodywork &
nervous system healing benefits

Benefits of Rolfing: Clients who experience Rolfing can expect a wide range of benefits that extend beyond physical alignment. Our work helps produce permanent changes in the body's alignment and energy levels. Here are some key advantages:

  1. Enhanced Body Awareness: Rolfing deepens your understanding of your body's movement patterns and postural habits, allowing you to make conscious choices for improved alignment and overall well-being.

  2. Alleviation of Chronic Pain: Rolfing helps relieve chronic pain, discomfort, and tension by releasing restrictions in the fascial system. This can bring long-lasting relief and promote a greater sense of ease in daily activities.

  3. Increased Flexibility and Range of Motion: By working with the fascia, Rolfing can improve joint mobility and flexibility, enabling you to move with greater freedom and fluidity.

  4. Improved Posture and Alignment: Rolfing focuses on aligning the body's structure, resulting in improved posture, balance, and alignment. This can lead to a more efficient use of energy and a reduction in stress and strain on the body.

inner work
benefits

Benefits of Inner Work: Our nervous systems are designed for relationship. When we are chronically dysregulated in our bodies and minds, how we relate to and internalize our relationships suffers, impairing our ability to live balanced lives.

  1. Healing the Inner Child: Inner work provides a nurturing space to heal and integrate the wounded aspects of our inner child. By addressing unresolved childhood experiences and emotions, we can heal deep-seated wounds, reclaim our joy, and foster a sense of wholeness.

  2. Emotional Freedom: Inner work allows us to release and process stored emotions, trauma, and attachment wounds. By embracing and honoring our emotions, we create the opportunity for emotional healing, greater self-acceptance, and the ability to respond to life's challenges with resilience and authenticity.

  3. Self-Discovery and Self-Awareness: Through inner work, we gain insight into our patterns, beliefs, and behaviors. This self-awareness empowers us to make conscious choices aligned with our values, passions, and true desires. It lays the foundation for personal growth, authentic relationships, and a more fulfilling life.

  4. Inner Empowerment: Inner work cultivates a deep sense of self-empowerment. By exploring and integrating our shadows, limiting beliefs, and fears, we can transcend old patterns and step into our personal power. This empowers us to create meaningful change in our lives and manifest our fullest potential.
